ALATA AESTHETICS

A consultation is more than choosing a treatment from a menu. It is an opportunity to understand your concerns, assess suitability, discuss alternatives and decide whether treatment is appropriate at all.
Before your appointment
Think about your main priorities and bring a list of current skincare, supplements and medications. If you have previously experienced cold sores, pigmentation changes, allergic reactions, delayed healing or unexpected complications, mention this during your assessment.
Skin and health assessment
We will discuss relevant medical history, previous procedures, allergies, lifestyle factors and your usual response to treatment. The skin may be assessed for hydration, barrier condition, texture, pigment, congestion, redness and other visible features.
If a lesion or skin change requires medical investigation, cosmetic treatment may be delayed and you may be advised to seek assessment from an appropriate medical practitioner.
Goals and realistic expectations
Photographs and online trends can create unrealistic comparisons. Your plan should reflect your own anatomy, skin condition and priorities. We will discuss what a treatment may reasonably support, what it cannot promise, expected timeframes and whether a course or maintenance is likely to be required.
Consent is an ongoing conversation
Before proceeding, you should understand the proposed treatment, material risks, likely recovery, costs, aftercare and alternatives—including the option of no treatment. You can ask questions and take time to decide.
Your individual plan
A plan may begin with barrier support and home care before an in-clinic procedure. It may also change as your skin responds. Progress is reviewed rather than assuming that the original plan must continue unchanged.
